and are furiously making preps to be gone for several months. Drove to FLa to drop off our Morkie with friends who will keep her. Partied with friends and ended up with a bowel blockage and serious pain resulting from a previous surgery done yrs ago. Went Wednesday to my GP doc who arranged some imaging, prepped for that and had scan Thursday afternoon. Later that night I got a call that I had “ acute appendicitis” and needed to go to ER immediately for emergency surgery. Uh…. No! That whole portion of my anatomy had been removed in the previous surgery. However, as I still had something going on in there I played the game and went to ER. Spent most of the night getting rescanned, poked, prodded, and listening to some guy in another room yell all night and another guy with a pulse rate of sbout 90 hooked to a machine beep beep beep all night. None of my vitals or scan pointed to appendicitis (duuuuh.. I told them exactly what the problem was) and I left with advice to see a GI and get a Colonoscopy ( which I already had scheduled in early Dec). Total waste of two whole frikkin days. Anyway, I self doctored, resolved the blockage, drank heavily, and found a new and improved Doc. (Fingers crossed). Sheesh.
Leaving Sunday to drive wifeys car to CHicago for her son to babysit while we travel. Will stay through thanksgiving with a great group of family and friends. Back home on the 29th.
